First and Foremost — A Permanent Home
First and foremost on our wish list is a performance space in the village of Gurnee. While opportunities for performance space have been offered (and gratefully acknowledged) by many surrounding villages, our commitment as the Gurnee Theatre Company is to serve primarily our community of Gurnee, and therefore establish a permanent presence in our home town!
While we've performed at numerous locales in the past four years, we still seek a permanent home at a reasonable rent (or purchase price) where we can stage our productions and teach classes to area residents.
Village code requirements come into play. The space must have adequate parking, be handicapped accessible, and be appropriate for public assembly. Other than that, we have the skills, talent, and vision to turn any suitable space into a vibrant performing arts venue!
